Seven Waves is a historic footprint in the evolution of electronic music, unique to its time, yet still valid today. With her first album, Ciani established her romantic, melodic, classically-inspired and sensual identity as a composer.
A true concept album, revealing electronic music that is subtle, delicate, nuanced and at the same time passionate. It undulates, swells, and recedes, as the name implies. It has a very intimate feel, sometimes very playful, yet contains crescendos that pull at the heart.
With this album she wanted to show that electronic music could be feminine, soft and sensual. Stating that all of her early compositions were called waves and the sea has been a dominant inspiration for her always.
